Install Game Maps IRL on Android, allow precise location, connect to Android Auto, launch the app from the vehicle screen, and select Neon Sprawl—the original Cyberpunk 2077-inspired theme—before setting your destination.
The appeal of a Cyberpunk 2077 map on Android Auto is obvious at night: dense city streets, electric cyan lines and hot magenta landmarks already feel at home on a glowing dashboard. Neon Sprawl brings that mood to real places in Game Maps IRL.
What Neon Sprawl is
Neon Sprawl is an original cyberpunk map style, not a copy of Night City. It redraws the real-world map with saturated colors, dark terrain and high-visibility markers. That keeps the experience recognizable for fans while preserving the practical value of a live map.
Your city remains your city. The theme changes the presentation of streets and points of interest; it does not replace them with locations from Cyberpunk 2077.
Prepare your phone and car
- Install Game Maps IRL from Google Play.
- Allow precise location while the app is in use.
- Confirm Android Auto is working with your car or aftermarket display.
- Use a reliable USB data cable or a supported wireless Android Auto pairing.
- Unlock Neon Sprawl if your version lists it among premium map themes.
Night-mode reminder: a dramatic screen should still be comfortable. Adjust the dashboard brightness so it does not distract you or reduce your ability to see the road.
Set up the Cyberpunk-inspired map
- Launch Game Maps IRL on the phone. Complete setup and verify the map can find you.
- Connect Android Auto. Use USB or the vehicle’s usual wireless connection.
- Open the dashboard app grid. Find and launch Game Maps IRL.
- Select Neon Sprawl. Open the map-theme control and tap the cyberpunk-inspired option.
- Set the route. Enter a real destination, check the route overview and start while parked.
Why neon can work well on a dashboard
The combination of bright route colors and a dark background can create strong visual separation, especially in a dim cabin. The goal is not to fill every space with detail; it is to make the active route, position and next instruction recognizable at a glance.
| Visual layer | Neon Sprawl treatment |
|---|---|
| Background | Deep, low-luminance city tones |
| Road network | Fine electric lines for dense urban detail |
| Important markers | Saturated icons that stand out from the terrain |
| Active guidance | Kept visually distinct from surrounding decoration |
Fix a missing app or map
When Game Maps IRL is absent from the Android Auto launcher, open it directly on the phone and complete any permission screens. Check Android Auto’s launcher customization and update both apps. Reconnect the phone after making changes.
If the dashboard shows the map but not the right theme, select Neon Sprawl on the phone, then relaunch the car view. For a frozen position, enable precise location and remove unusually aggressive battery restrictions for the duration of the trip.
